Shoes for Riley!

I just wanted to put in a plug for my friend Magen and some very cute new shoes that she has designed.  Also, this weekend she is giving a 15% off discount if you order some shoes.  You have to type in the code reunion if you want to get the discount.  (If you tell me to order them since she is in Dallas and she can give them to me, you won't have to pay shipping.)  Anyway, just wanted to give you yet another idea of a possible Christmas present for our sweet girl. :)  You will notice that she named a pair after Riley.  I love them, but I also really like the felice style!  Here is her site:

Below are some pictures of shoes that Magen gave to Riley when she was born.  I put them on her today and they still fit very nicely! My favorite thing about these shoes are the inside.  There is soft fluffy stuff on the bottom that comforts her sweet little feet.

Riley's Headband

Riley's Nala was in town this past weekend for her dedication.  She bought lots of stuff to make headbands.  Here is one of the 3 she gave Riley before she left!

4 Month Checkup

Today Daddy took Riley to her 4 month checkup.  She had to get more shots!  Look at her legs. :(  Riley weighs 15.10 pounds and she is 25 1/2 inches long.  She is in about the 85th percentile.  The doctor recommended a book for Daddy to read about raising little girls, and he also wants her to take Trivisol with iron.  We told him about her not eating as much, and he wasn't worried at all.  (As long as she is sleeping through the night and not crying all the time, we are good.) Daddy forgot to ask the Dr. if he thought Riley was teething.

Riley was having fun eating the birds head. She has also been eating a lot more today.  That Dr. visit must have taken it out of her!

Riley's Dedication

Today we dedicated Riley to the Lord.  It was so nice to have Aunt Bec, Uncle Michael, Gianna, Aunt Leah, Grandma, Papa, Nala, and Grandpa K standing up with us!  Riley took in all the attention from the people she loves!

Afterward we went to Gloria's for lunch.  Riley and Gianna were so patient for several family pictures.  It was beautiful weather to sit out on the patio.

The girls love their Papa!

Thank you Aunt Leah for the cute sweater and skirt!  It will be perfect for the cooler weather.  We missed you Uncle Ryan.

Thanks everyone for being a part of Riley's special day!!!

Nala & Grandpa K's Visit

Riley was so excited to see her Nala and Grandpa K!  It had been a couple months since they last saw her.  She looked a lot bigger to them.

Riley enjoyed seeing her Nala and Grandpa K.  She even wore her Fred outfit to match her Grandpa.  Yesterday her Daddy and Grandpa went to see the Rangers in the playoffs and they brought her back a shirt from her favorite team.  Go Rangers!!!

Texas State Fair

Wednesday evening we went to the fair with our lifegroup.  This was Riley's first experience with the Texas State Fair!  Mommy wanted her to love all of the animals, but she was WAY more intrigued with all the flashy lights in the ride section.  Riley stayed up way past her bedtime.  She started to lose it at about 10:00 and we decided to go home.

We ran into some old friends!

Riley and EK can't wait for the pig races!

She never really even looked at the animals.

Crib Time!

Just thought it would be fun to compare a few crib pictures.  She is getting bigger in her crib, but she still has the same sleeping position.

Riley's Friends

Riley's friend Oscar had a small birthday gathering in his backyard.  The weather was beautiful so, we walked over.

She had a great time seeing her friends.  Campbell was there and so was Felix.  Riley thought Felix was pretty funny.  Riley enjoyed watching Oscar open his gifts.  She was also intrigued with the Sprite can he was playing with.  Happy first birthday Oscar!
