Easter

On Good Friday Riley got a package from Aunt Dana and Uncle Ric in the mail.  She loves packages!

In the box was a giant frog with bunny ears.  Riley is seeing if it will turn into a prince.

Easter Morning

Jesus is Alive!

After church we had lunch at Grandma and Papa's.  Mama, Aunt LeAnne, and Aunt Rae left them little goodies by the fireplace.  Riley stuck all of her toys in her mouth, and tried to stick all of Gianna's toys in her mouth too.

Thistle Dew Ranch

Last weekend our Detroit team had a retreat at the Goode's ranch.  It was very peaceful and relaxing!  We enjoyed the beauty of Palo Pinto, Texas, and we got to get to know one another at deeper levels.  Riley had fun being surrounded by people.  I think her favorite part was the view from the hot tub though!

My Nine Month Old Toddler!

I was hanging Riley's clean clothes in her closet this morning, when I noticed she was pulling everything out of her drawers!  She is into everything these days.  (Everything except for taking naps.) 

Two nights ago Kenten and I were playing with her in the living room and she was standing on her own for several seconds and then she actually tried to take a step!  She fell down of course, but it was fun to see!

Lake House

Riley got to visit Aunt Rae and Uncle Wayne's lake house this weekend.  Grandma and Papa were there too! Riley loved the wide open space!  She crawled around all over the place.  She really enjoyed the hard wood floors.  She would try to pick at every knot in the wood, much to her dismay they never became accessible to put in her mouth.  She did get to enjoy the delicious stone on the bar.  All the crawling and attention must have worn her out because she took really good naps!  

Riley also spent her first night away from Mommy and Daddy!  It was really sad to watch her drive off - a few tears were shed.  We spent our first childless night eating dinner at Chuys then going to a movie and sleeping in until 9:00am!  Happy 3 year anniversary to us! Grandma and Papa said she did great! She is 9 months old today, so I guess she was ready for a little independence.  Riley is now sound asleep in her bed - it feels good to have the whole family back together again! :)

A visit from Nala and Grandpa K

A few weekends ago Nala and Grandpa K came for a visit.  Riley had a wonderful time with them!  They played with her all day long!  We had to take advantage of March Blooms at the Arboretum while they were in town.  Here are some pictures of the beautiful day.
