Happy 5 Months!

Today Riley is 5 months old!
Yesterday we tried a new thing to get ready for her big leap - rice cereal!  She spit most of it out as you will see in the pictures, but when we tried it today, she actually opened her mouth for the spoon and ate it!  What a quick learner.

Yesterday we also went to Wilson's 1st Birthday Party!  His backyard with decorated like carnival theme.  Riley was sad that she was too little to jump in the bounce house, but she enjoyed seeing all of her friends!

Ryan, Magen, Sara, and birthday boy - Wilson!

Notice the carmel apple cupcakes, the birthday banner on his cake, and the cute cotton candy party favors!

New Thing

Riley has learned to play with her feet.  She has even started to put them in her mouth.  What an amazing 4 month old baby!

We just took a picture of Riley raising herself up on the changing table.  It was fun to look back at her doing the same thing at 2 months....she has a pretty strong neck and some great upper body strength for someone who never really liked tummy time!

Happy Halloween!

On October 30th we celebrated Riley's first Halloween. The day started with the purchase of a pumpkin from a local neighborhood church.  Riley just kicked back in the pile of pumpkins while we took several pictures.  As you can see, some pics with a bow and some without.

Next we went to Grandma and Papa's house to carve pumpkins.  Grandma and Papa were in Germany, and we missed them very much, especially since it was Papa's birthday.  Thankfully other family members were there to join in on the festivities!

Mama was there, and she brought the girls a little Halloween happy.

Aunt LeAnne gave the girls their first Halloween book, she also volunteered to take the guts out of the pumpkin!  We baked the seeds then we painted the pumpkins.

Riley and Gianna modeled their costumes for the family.  Riley did NOT like being in that hot bee outfit.  She kept arching her back to get out.

After the pumpkin festivities we went to Tom's Halloween Party.  This year he called it The Bat and the Butterfly Ball. (That is why we bought Riley a bee costume - $10.00 at Old Navy.) Riley's little friends were flying around while everyone else gathered in front of the tv to watch the Rangers play that other team that actually won the World Series.

Magen made costumes for her whole family!

Ending this post with Riley in her cute fall outfit from Aunt Leah!
